Yeah, cans are stamped 1973. Given the age, I’m hoping the powder shoots as good as the containers look.Supposed to be between 4350's and 4831's in burn rate.
You have a large supply of excellent powder if it's still good.
Thanks, I’ve been looking but have only come across Hodgdon’s 243 data. What are you going to use it with. I have old books from the 60's that should have data in them
Will do, thanks.go easy on the lip so you can reseal it.

Thanks for the lead, and no rush on data. Appreciate the willingness to look and see.I will look and see, may have to be tomorrow morning. I used to use it in 270 and an uncle used to use it in 7MM Rem mag. Should work in 30-06 but kind of slow for 308 class ammo unless heavy bullets. Kind of like the rifle version of 2400. Used for over bore heavy for caliber bullets/magnum loading. Give us some bullet weights with those calibers and theres got to be data out there. Some info and old manuals on Steve's Pages if you can find your way through.
Yeah, since acquiring it I've read some mixed reviews. Thought about listing it for sale but also curious to see how it performs.I loaded H450 years ago in a 22-250 with CCI mag primer. Some of the rounds didnt fire. All showed the powder started burning & then just quit. . No bullet movement.
There is a reason it was discontinued years ago.
Thanks for the link.My old Lyman 44 edition has data for H450 in 7,, Rem Mag and 30-06
No data fro H450 in .343, 6.5X55 or 35-06
If you search you can find copies of Lyman 44 on line as a .pdf.
