how to wrap a gun up for christmas

i guess i forgot to mention it is a used gun....so all i have is the gun

buy him a hard take down case to go with it wrap the whole works...

make a fake box with like a cheap toaster in it and take the gun and hide it in his bed or somewhere where he will eventually find it in a supriseing manner maybe propped up in the shower with a bow on it or something

The "factory" box stores the barrel and action seperately, much like an 870. It's easy to take it apart. Trust me a dis-assembled shotgun box looks way too short to be a rifle and way too long to look like a handgun. Hickory Farms, Macy's, etc have oodles of shipping boxes about the right size which will further confound the issue.

I know when I was gifted my Remington shotgun I had NO clue what was in a box that size.

The jewelry box with a shotgun shell in it is a great idea as well.

I once wrapped one, taken down of course, in a guitar box for someone who also likes guitars. Fooled him good.
