There are so many AR builders I'm am not sure how one goes about ranking the products. Spike's Tactical is around at a lot of the shows. What do you guys think of this line? Or for the money, you might choose...? Thanks.

My wife used one of their lowers for her build, and, for the money, it is nice. Have never heard of any negative reviews of any of their products, including complete rifles. They seem to genuinely appreciate their customer base. They have a variety of roll marks available, which is a lot of the appeal, IMHO. If I were to build another one, I would go with one of their lowers.

Bought another one today, I've had real good luck with them.

Got another 'Crusader' for a C-note out the door, happy to pay a bit more than a generic Anderson to get that exact model. They are getting a bit hard to find now.

One thing to notice about some of the Spikes lowers, they are missing metal in some places that most other brands of lowers have it. And that is not a bad thing.:)

.

I have assembled 3 AR 15 guns on Spike's lower receivers. The lowers all look great and were in spec and have proved to be great lowers for my builds.

I've built on low-end and high-end stripped lowers, unless you don't like the looks or finish of a particular lower, IMHO buy the cheapest (usually Anderson at the moment, although you should avoid Hesse,Vulcan,Blackthorne,Whatever they've changed their name to again -- they seem to sell what everyone else scraps) and put the savings towards a better trigger or barrel, either of which will make a much larger difference than the lower.

Spikes is good to go. They are local to me and I have bought their products many times with no issue.

You're probably referring to the area of the receiver for the Full-Auto Sear correct? I've built AR's with their receivers way too many times...

Exactly, some companies lowers are not even as extreme as your example, but have more than needed for those that have lightening links.

(Can't be sure, but been told they work with DIASs better also.)

I don't have any Spikes stuff, but the people that do have Spikes seem to like them. Looks like they use quality components, so that's a plus. I'd imagine that it'd be just fine.

I built my most recent rifle using a Spikes LPK my son had given me last Christmas. I have built 26 lowers in my life, and the quality and finish on the Spikes parts are the best I have ever worked with. Everything fit perfectly in the Delton lower. I will definitely use them in the future (if we have one).
