I am sorry that happen to you Bass, since I originally posted this I have fired most of the .40 rounds and I did an extensive inspection on ALL of the HSM I purchased. I used a scale to weigh them and compare to see if they all were similiar (for each caliber) and used Winchester White Box rounds for comparison on top of visual inspecting them all as well.
I disposed of 27 rounds total due to some kind of faultiness. Most were 9mm. One of the 9mm rounds had the primer compressed in, several more had what looked like deep primer strikes, and the rest had deformed casings.
The ones I kept were the best and so far I have used most of the .40 without any problems.
