Hunting licenses down

The high cost of fuel and leases have an impact. Families are also faced with so many pressures to meet the daily high cost of living leading to two jobs and no time for outdoor activities.

I tell you the way fuel is, last deer season was one of the most costly ones for me. The deer lease is 235 miles away and I stayed up there for weeks just to save on fuel money. Guess thats why I felt like I had to get my monies worth last year so I took 6 deer.

For me it is just a pain. I havent gone hunting in 3 years. In Ohio, you cannot hunt with any rifle so I have to go down to KY. (I dont own a shotgun) It is just more expenses, not to mention in an area I have to pay more for lodging, etc.

I am in MA and a trip to ME and NH is very expensive, not to mention the cost of a non resident license.

I've never bought an IL hunting license, and don't plan to ever do so.

Haven't hunted in 4 years, I think. No where to go close, too much BS, too damn much expense in paperwork (license, habitat stamps, permits). They keep screwing us over, and then wonder why no one is contributing to wildlife conservation.

This is really simple (but really scary for the future of hunting). The price of access to hunting lands in Texas prohibits people from hunting. If I did not have a personal connection to land, then I would not be able to afford to hunt.

Sounds like you are here in CO with me! The system out here is a pain in the butt, and it seems like there is a new fee, stamp, permit, license, etc every time I turn around!

I haven't hunted in a number of years, and was just thinking about trying to get back into it... Read through the Big Game booklet, and decided that I would need a law degree to decifer all of the regulations here (seasons, GMU's, etc).
