Coming to a town near you. You think that all of a sudden if we get a taste of cultural enrichment here a la Europa that all of a sudden we'll have something like Constitutional carry M4s - aka your "wild west" - in time to let us really protect ourselves?
The "wild west" is a Hollywood creation. A brainwashing. The reason why it was relatively peaceful and polite was that most people were used to seeing people going about armed, even if they were not necessarily armed themselves.
Want to see the current antithesis? Spend a week in Chicago. Wear your American flag T shirt, a veterans cap, or Pres Trump "MAGA" hat, and walk about like you're actually a citizen in your own country.
The way to avoid a break down is a better way to frame this. We are just a stone's throw in time behind Europe.
