Supply and demand.
I agree with the people who think it's supply and demand.
It's funny how quickly we forget the bad times of the Obama administration.
Thing was....the Obama administration has nuttin' to do with it. It was us.
Depends on the ammo and place. I just got 300 rounds of plinking 223 for less than any local place sold it..So what are the other guys/suppliers doing? Prices jumped at palmetto only?
CNN and Fear-The Power of FearYes, I remember a short video clip with Steve Hornady.

And at approximately the 1:02min interval is the quote. He gave the basic rundown, and the 22LR shortage was due to ''comsumer demand.'' Ppl were simply buying all that was ever made.
HOWEVER that said, please hear this. For around 15 years now, various school shooting, elections, speeches, news releases, natural disasters a few added fro flavor & color i.e. Katrina...ALL 2A sales and subsequent prices raising and drops, are 100% politically driven. Yes before that was some, but, it's really ramped up more recently IMHO.
Your version of the 2A sport whether 3gun, trap, hunting,SD, or collecting, is directly tied to politics.

Exactly. It wasn't that long ago that brass 223 was pushing $600. Getting it for under $300 was a steal.$289 was likely a 10 year record low.
I don't think there's any grounds for being "disappointed", unless you can find it someplace else a lot cheaper than the $420 price.
People have suddenly become a lot more interested in guns lately. Even people who would have never considered it. My boss is politically supportive of the Pro 2A position, but has stated numerous times that he personally would never have a gun in his house. Now even he is saying "I think I should go buy a gun".
Evidently PSA believes that the previous price plus free shipping for that item was unsustainable for whatever reason. The bread and butter money maker items for them, their in house build AR-15 rifles and especially pistols, are all but sold out and have been for over two months. Until they get that production on track again they still have to make payroll and keep the doors open. Shaving free shipping off some items and adding $$ to others may be the only thing that keeps them half azz competitive and in business but that's just my opinion.
As a consumer I can ignore their prices or, as I did last week, buy 5 ETS Glock 31 rd. aftermarket magazines. Buy 5, $74, and you get free shipping. I've bought from PSA quite a few times and have always been happy with the exchange.
I agree.Thing was....the Obama administration has nuttin' to do with it. It was us.

Yeah, and that cheap gas/oil is why I had to retire from my retirement and find a job.Same reason why gas is less than $1 a gallon in some states - https://abc7news.com/gas-prices-low...der-1-drop-amid-coronavirus-pandemic/6116861/
Supply and demand.
Your probably right. I usually browse their site just a couple of times a week for accessories but I also look at their complete AR builds jut to see what's up. Just my opinion but I would think because of depleted inventory the sales of their in house AR pistol builds would have to be a trickle now as compared to this time last year.Their AR15 builds and pistol builds have been in and out of stock. When they go in stock they sell out in a couple of hours.
