o.k. Not legal trouble. I just got my C&R FFL and I have a credit card with no current balance and a somewhat high limit. Trying to keep my credit card in my wallet has been getting tougher and tougher with each passing minute. The FFL came yesterday and I faxed it off today to multiple outlets. I just got my login for Midway and Southern Ohio Guns.

I'v had mine a couple of years now. Last week found a couple of nice M-96 Swedes that had to head this way.

I have been resisting the urge for two weeks now. For a while there this summer I was buying one or two guns a week with my C&R......so I can definitley relate.

You won't be able to resist in the long-run, all you can do is try & limit yourself.

Create a monthly budget that you can allocate for firearms. It will be easier to stick to a set gun budget rather than resist completely.

Just buy every gun you ever wanted or think you might ever want. Max out the card, get a few more, and buy them so quickly that 95% never even get cleaned or shot...
You know you want to.

What I do is make a list of guns I want to get. Then if it's on my list and priced right I justify it (assuming I have the money) if it's not on my list I think about it first, I'd rather let a "great deal" slide and do the research than buy a worthless regret. Also, if my list has a common gun on it, I put those off and look for the rarer guns.

Sounds like you need to hire some of us as purchasing agents for you to help you keep up with your obsession. Where should I send my resume? :D

I do not feel bad using my credit card on guns. As long as you dont have a high intrest rate I say go for it. It's not like youre buying clothes, food, or gas. That stufff is worth nothing once you buy it. Guns on the other hand can be sold on consignment. Think of all that good stuff out there that could be in your gun safe right now. Now take a god look at your credit card....

At least when you spend your money on guns you have something worthwhile to show for it, which does not apply to many other forms of compulsive behavior.

I have saved so much money at Grafs,AIM ,Wideners,Midway,Brownells etc
that I am running out of money to save.
damn C&R

I got the paperwork for my C&R, then I realized that it's not worth a hoot in CA. I really need to move.

if you think you have it bad -

I live in California! here you HAVE TO buy everything while you can, because tomorrow it may very well get added to the burgeoning list of banned things. once you learn the term "grandfathered", things really get hairy.

it becomes a titanic struggle for hegenomy - on one side is the C&R, on the other is your buddy who just happens to have an 01 FFL and is willing to do transfers on the cheap.

you just get battered in the middle by both and keep dishing ou the dough to feed those beasts.

but mark my words: if you have a c&r, you need to buy at least 2 of:

1. k31
2. m39
3. k98 RC
4. m38
5. m59 sks
6. t-53 (omega)

then there's handguns. at least two of:

1. cz52
2. cz82
3. nagant 7.62
4. feg pa-63

so, your job is cut out for you. i just identified the list of Must-Haves. i GUARANTEE that each will double in price within 1.5 years.

Get to work. Get to overtime.

no problem noxx.
by the way, C&R in CA is still VERY good. it's not that C&R in CA is bad, it's just that in free states a C&R is basically a license to build an arsenal. A real arsenal, by the way, not one of those CNN 1,000 round and two squirrel gun "arsenals".

those handguns in particular are a real bargain.
two cz52s, firing a round that is capable of penetrating at least level iia armor, are 300$ including shipping for both. 9mm luger conversion kits are available for less than $100 shipped.

two cz82s (in CA we cannot get the hi-cap magazines unless you have them grandfathered) are also $300 shipped for both.

two nagant pistols, dripping with history and nearly new. $250 shipped for both. and .32 acp conversion kits are available for less than $50 shipped.

and of course, the feg. what a bargain! subcompact makarov, nearly new, two for $250 shipped. an excellent CCW choice and girls love the small package.
