cliffs:

local doctor with his two young sons (12 and 9)

their first time to shoot a handgun (Glock 17)

did my best I could to teach basic safety & technique

thought they were Latin until I saw the wife outside in the showroom

she was wearing a headscarf (and absolutely gorgeous!)

afterward he thanked me for the help, gave me his biz card

runs a local clinic: neuropsychologist

knew I did the right thing

Where did that come from......:confused:

If there was racism, he would have not helped them!

Lots of gun-owners on Glocktalk and other forums despise Muslims. I mean to the point where they advocate violence against them and are filled with prejudice.

Either way, good for you helping them. So did he buy the Glock?

yep, defensive carry forum is that way too. i posted a thread on the caracal pistol and the mods wouldn't delete or sanction the prejudiced posters. i no longer frequent that forum. i'm not muslim, but i don't hold anyone's religion against them.
 
You have to know (as a High Road community) that if "I" say something's borderline whether it involves the high road or a deeper set morality in general, then it has to be pretty bad because I'm not very popular here. Never-the-less, this is very BAD. You assisting muslims at a gun range should have no greater or lesser importance than you having assisted anyone else from any other religion or culture.
 
I can't give you a specific reason why I dislike posts like this ... but I just get bad JuJu.
To me it kinda seems like the guy defending himself "But I have a friend who's not<insert whatever here>."

Not uncommon at all I *love* middle eastern women of any stripe. Some people like 'em blond and tall ... give me that dark hair and brown skin any day!

The only time I care about someone race is if they have trouble with english and so far I have been patient enough to work throught the rough spots or lucky enough to have someonne to explain to the ones that don't understand.
I know I anit racist. Shucks I even hepled a Canadian once.
 
I once coached an atheist. Had him saved, baptized and paying tithes before the session was over. Now he comes to church every Christmas and Easter.
 
i admit i'm a racist it's the only possible explanation for my voting against obama. i'm also a sexist because i wanted to vote against hillary . i'm afraid of the boogyman too ,i still have nightmares about janet reno.
 
Just an observation:

Just like members of almost any religion, Muslims can be of any ethnicity, so "racism" (which is an archaic word in the first place - there's one race: the HUMAN race; skin color only denotes ethnic distinctions,) never even enters the picture.

Sounds like doc540 did a good deed and helped out a nice family today. Let's end the thread with that, eh?
 
Isn't racism dependent on race?

Are we perhaps confusing it with religious intolerance?
