I bet I have one of the coolest wives!

Great to have wives who understand our games. While mine has to yet by me a gun, she did tell me to build a range, so I would have a place to shoot, and stop whining about not having one.

22 years, I"d say she's a keeper.

Thank you Rex,

Spent Sat till about 10 carefully taking it apart and soaking it in breakfree, then cleaned my self up and sat with my wife through a "chick flick." Then most of the day yesterday cleaning cosmoline out of it and got it back together. You know, the Russians knew what they were doing when they built it. Very few parts, solid infoulable action, and you can completely disassemble and reassemble with the tool kit it came with. My hats off to Mosin and Nagant!

PS. I made a nice breakfast to thank my wife yesterday morning.

Wish I could get my husband interested in going out shooting with me and our son a bit more.

But Happy Birthday, and congrats on the Tula! Milsurps seem to be the favored boomers in this household as well.... (I love the voice on my M-N M38)

I'll throw in here. As Corriea can attest to, my wife is pretty cool. For my birthday this year I got a loaded 2004 Z71 Suburban. She did not balk when I paid the SOT, AND applied for the stamps on 6 destructive devices. She does not give me crap for buying guns for my children (ok, I got my oldest a chipmunk .22, and I claim that the other one was for her too......).

But most of all, the thing that makes her really cool is this: She never gave me crap while I was laid off for 2 years, she has given me 2 beautiful girls, keep the roof over our heads and held our family together while I did a year in Afghanistan, and she loves me dispite all of my umm, issues.

Although the wife hasn't gotten me a firearm (she has allowed me to purchase many! laughs). The best thing about her is when we (the guys and her) go shooting and she out shoots them. Wow, I'm a proud husband.

I think my wife took up shooting to spend more time with me. She now has her own rifle and handgun and joins me most times I go to the range. She gets very serious whenever I handle her guns, to "make sure I don't hurt them".

Haven't managed to get her interested in cleaning them or reloading them....which doesn't really matter, as I find it relaxing to do (almost as enjoyable as a day at the range).
