I talked to the buyer for a chain sporting goods store and he told me gun powder is made overseas and it'll be well into the second quarter before any powder will be on the shelves. hdbiker
My understanding is some propellants are made in the USA, Canada, Australia, and in Europe. They are experiencing raw material shortages as well as all the rest of us are along with covid worker restrictions. They also have contracts with military users and large manufacturers they have to supply first. Reloaders and our canister propellants are a small pprtion of their production and we have to wait our turn sadly.
It is the same thing with primers. They make them for finished ammo before releasing them for reloaders.
You have to watch for shipments. Powder Valley and Midsouth have had some sporadic shipments of Shooters World propellants available in the past month. You will have to figure out what one you want ahead so when it shows up you can pounce. These are relabled propellants made by Explosia in the Czech Republic.
