Butt Cuffs For Shotshells.

I have used these over the years and really like these. They also raise the comb a bit , which I need for certain stock dimensions. They also make these for Rifle Cartridges as well.

Galco. Why oh why do I keep forgetting to check with these folks when I need anything...Slings, bags, belts, accessories of any kind?

Blue & Wood deserves Leather - right?.

Err...maybe I should have posted this elsewhere since Galco does this for rifles as well...oops.

Nah...DR. Rob , Art and the other Moderators in Rifles and Hunting can just refer to this thread. We play nice in the Shotgun Forum - heck we even have a fresh pot of coffee brewing...you guys bring the do-nuts - Okay?

:D

By gosh I think we finally found something we disagree on!!!

I hate butt cuffs, won't have one and won't use one. Why? Simple really, I sometimes get a crazy hair headed north:D and shoot left handed. One of them sinister butt cuffs will take you OUT if you squeeze a round off from your off shoulder. I work on off-side shooting with all types of firearms and the butt cuff makes it impossible to use that gun effectively. Hate 'em.

Looks nicely made, too...

HSmith, I agree that for left-handed shooting, it's a no-no - but it's a lace-on job. You can always leave it on for general use, and unlace it for a bit of the other! :D

HSMITH:

Well by golly I searched hard, far and wide to find something we disagreed on...it was getting downright frustrating too. :D :D

I understand about the weak hand shooting. Just a good way to leave a long gun loaded up for HD, Farm or Ranch use. Be it Shotgun or Rifle. I 've used one for Model 70 bolt in '06 and model 94 in 30-30, besides various shotguns.

I also like leather shell belts , waded out many a time with these to keep "powder dry"- stood next to a blind or tree while duck hunting. [if the ducks figure out a blind, go toward trees they fly over ;) ]

The 5 shell leather holder for belt is great when out upland hunting. Good way to carry slugs for instance in the event the bird season overlaps with deer.

Well at least some people will appreciate this...Hey Smoke, I told you I was persistent and tenancious. [ other stuff too...but Art's Grammaw...]

Besides, can you folks even begin to imagine me with anything other than something along these lines? I mean no tools required, if I need to drop a TG afield...no problem. Try that with a side saddle. I think what turns me off about the elastic inexpensive butt cuffs ( besides the fact they move around) is the fact they are black. I'm sooo turned off by black, tactical, ultimate, absolute, carbon fiber,...
;)

I have a Galco butt cuff on an old Rossi Overland coachgun and really like it. I also have one on a .308 Sako, I find them well made and a useful addition.

I believe Milt Sparks will make you a leather butt cuff, it is not cataloged but they will make it. They used to catalog one called the Cold Comfort.

And for $70 you can buy one HELL of a shell vest.

It looks nice and I love Galco leather, but that's rather expensive.

Your're telling me...why by golly the one I bought some 20+ years was nowhere near that price. :D
I for sure know they don't sell NEW 1100 shotguns for $169 either. $5k for a 10 month old car with 8K miles...I betcha I can't find one of those either - huh?.

I like these for a special use as I stated before - HD BD( business defence) Farm/ Ranch...etc.

Hunting Vest...hey with Beef Jerkey, small thermos, and the peppermints for the dogs ( bribe dogs and they will retreive your birds ;) )...who has room for shells? :D

This is the one I am going to put on my 870 Express HD(if I put one on at all). I have one of Eagles butt packs on my 700BDL. It is a nice product. It may take awhile to get it as alot of their production is going to Servicemen who are equiping themselves.

Eagle Industries Butt Pack

For some reason the URL takes you one level from where you want to be. The butt packs are under accessories.
