I have personal moved 2,000 lb hot tubes using small pieces of PVC and plywood. Moved up stairs using 3 people. Its not hard if you know what you are doing.

I highly doubt that safe weighed 2000lbs. Even then, I can move my 960lb amsec by myself if there are no stairs involved.

Those wood rails inside a uhaul van are enough for 2 men to lift a 2k pound safe into the back with a small child cranking a chain come along. Ask me how I know

When we moved my 1500lb lathe, we used small sections of iron pipe to get it in the small doorway and into position. Just me and my 60 year old parents. We had a small telehandler forklift to do the heavy lifting.

Moving heavy objects on solid flat ground is one thing. Moving them uphill through grass is another thing!

I moved my Browning safe a few times with just me and a buddy and an appliance dolly. I've also helped a few buddies move their safes with that same appliance dolly. All of these weighed between 400 and 600 pounds. With a little planning it wasn't bad.

When I bought my last safe I called several lock smiths in the Little Rock area and found one that worked on safes. On the appointed day he called saying that his helper was sick and wanted to set another date. I had it on a trailer and it was forecast to rain. I convinced him that I worked hard for a living and would be able to help him and he reluctantly agree. He used a pallet jack and a whole collection of blocks and small steel pieces to build a bridge over the threshold. I think he quoted me $200 and I tipped him something extra. The shipping weight on that safe was 1960 pounds. I expect the pallet and box weighed 60 pounds or so.

When you get over the weight of a refrigerator it pays to know what you are doing or to use a professional.
