Yeah, welcome to the club!! I have carried a glock 27 for 4 years, with the grip extension and plug as my preference. The plug keeps the lint out and helps with mag changes, the grip extension isn't mandatory but makes it fit my hand like a glove. I have had people tell me they are ugly but I never heard the fashion police were on scene in a bad situation. Some people like fords, some chevy's and some dodge.. It is all different strokes for different folks!

:)

I went to the range this afternoon and I am thrilled with this gun. I started at 5 yards and went to 7 (training for ccw class), I can group 5 shots into about the size of an orange. That is MUCH better than with the sigma or lcp, after a whole lot fewer rounds as well. It took me a while to get half decent on the sigma. The FIRST shot with this gun at 7 yards was half the face of a penny off of the bullseye. I LOVE it !!!!!!!!!!
Just ordered the grip channel insert. :)

a glock is like an ugly girl who is great in bed, an excellent cook, and who never complains. you overlook her appearance due to her other qualities

Very sorry to hear this. Good news is, there's a ready market for them when you decide to upgrade. :p When I was Glock nut, many many moons ago, the 27 I had was an impressive piece of small package firepower, so good choice, relatively speaking.

Remember, pretty guns are the ones you show to your friends.

Ugly guns are the ones you show to your enemies.

This I like. :)

My 1st gun is an HK USP. Sold it and get my 1st 1911. Been a 1911 person eversince now with handfull. Then there's a Gen 4 Glock 17 that actually fits now my hand. It's an ugly looking gun but with a lot of history and good reputation. Plus being a Georgia based company, I know now what will be my next birthday gift for myself.

haha i laugh.

The Glock side

and

The 1911 side

or

The plastic (polymer) side

and

The metal side

*pours on the gas*

I think that he's suggesting that someone might actually WANT to own a metal relic gun. :D

You've been glocked

Welcome and let the second guessing crowd begin ! You should have bought this or you would have been happier with that or Ka boom conspiracy guys who knew a guy who's dentists next door neighbors best man at his second cousins greek wedding that had a friend from work who overheard that all Glocks blow up with a certain kind of ammo . Relax , enjoy one of the nicest handguns made , and shoot and shoot and shoot ..........

I hate glocks, wretched plastic things. If it wasn't for the reliability and weight savings, capacity and durability....well maybe they aren't that bad

I really find it hard to buy anything else. Just wish Glock made a .22lr that was sold in the US:(. I think my next hand gun will be a G19 due to the more inexpensive ammo. Every time I tell a friend what I am getting they always say. Another One? Well they just don't get it yet, they will see;).

Warhawk83: I have gone to..the GLOCK side.

Welcome to the Glock club! I actually like metal guns too ... :D Come to think of it, I like anything that sends lead down the barrel with a bang.

FYI, I do an annual Glock cleaning similar to this (Glock disassembly tool helps): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=No4SA6v6xjE&feature=fvw

I've been carrying an early Model 17. The things are so easy to shoot and so reliable I don't know why everyone doesnt carry one.
And I leave mine bone stock. If it aint broke, don't fix it.
