I have the Colt bug. . . . .REALLY BAD!!

I don't know why. . . . .but I REALLY DO!!

I'm planning on putting together a Colt AR6720 AR15 Lightweight Carbine first one down on left. I say putting together, because living here in New Yorkistan all new "post-ban" AR15's have to be AWB compliant. Just having the AR-15A4 roll marks on a factory AR6720 Lower Receiver is against the AWB. We can't have AR15 of any sort on the rifle/carbine. So I'll more then likely buy a AR6720 Complete Upper Half, have the flash hider removed and/or replaced with a AWB compliant muzzle brake or thread protector and have the bayonet lug removed. Then I'll buy a Colt Complete Lower Half with M-4 roll marks. It sucks that we have to go through all this BS, it is what it is though. I guess if I found a good deal on a Colt MT6400 Carbine I'd have to give it serious consideration. I want a lightweight model but it sure would make things a lot easier. Same with a LE6920, they seem to be one of the more available Colt AR15 Carbines and Complete Upper Half's.

Then I want to get a Colt 1911, Government XSE 45 ACP (01980XSE0) one on main page, then lower center. I really want a nice classic looking blued Colt Government size 1911 45 ACP. The XSE Series seems to have some really nice features. Novak Low Profile Sights, extended ambidextrous safety, beavertail grip safety, 3-hole aluminum trigger, lowered and flared ejection port and front and rear slide serrations.

I have and I am completely happy with and have absolutely no plans of getting rid of my Stag Arms Model 1 AR15 Carbine with the Plus Package, drop-in quad rail, Troy front hand grip, Aimpoint Pro Optic, fixed front and rear sights and A2 buttstock or my Smith & Wesson SW1911 45 ACP. I would not hesitate on recommending either of these two and I will definitely buy products from both companies again.

I've never owed any Colt Products. However, I've shot a lot of their Products. To me they were always as good as any other firearms of the same type. I didn't really think they were better per se, but they always seemed to be at least as good. Plus there's the "mystique" that go's along with the Colt name. Getting one of their AR15's and one of their full size 1911's seems like a good start!

Colt makes good stuff. I drink the kool aid! I have an XSE Lightweight Commander that I absolutely love. Just need to add a black Rail Gun and an SP6940 when tax time comes around.

Unfortunately I don't have a Colt belt buckle but have 2 Winchester belt buckles.

I have a Colt AR Sporter that I like and two 1911 series 70 government models and one being a Gold Cup early series 70 NM. So yes, I like the Colt guns.

The XSE range of 1911s are very well finished and put together. Where for quite some time Colt traded on the name, while producing less than stellar handguns, the XSE has demonstrated their ability to produce a gun that lives up to the iconic Colt name. Choosing an XSE as your first 1911 is a wise decision... your grandchildren will thank you someday.

creeper1956, my first 1911 in my Smith & Wesson SW1911. I like it I really do. I started checking out Colt AR15's and saw their 1911's while doing so. I feel in love with the blued XSE 1911.

Well I sent my FFL a text last night and asked him if he could get me a price on a AR6720 complete lower. He texted my back this morning saying that he could check on that price for me. . . . .but that he has at least one Colt MT6400 Carbine coming either Friday or Monday. My wife thinks I'm crazy for wanting another AR15 (of course she wouldn't understand), but she seems to be on board with it. Being so close to Christmas I was a little surprised she doesn't seem to care if I get it. We started getting the kids stuff early this year so that helps a lot.

So I'm 99.999% sure that I'm going to get it. It's basically a "post-ban" compliant LE6920. It has the same barrel without a flash hider, the collapsible stock is pinned at the longest position and there is no bayonet lug. I couldn't care less about not having those three things on it. Truth be told, I'll probably take the collapsible stock off of it and swap it with the A2 stock from my Stag AR15 that I'm basically giving to my son. He likes the "cool factor" look of the collapsible stock. I just plan like the A2 stock, so it'll work out for both of us.

I wanted the lightweight of the AR6720 Carbine. However, it's going to be so much easier to just get the "post-ban" compliant MT6400 Carbine. It's one of Colt's Match Target Carbines. The weight isn't a big deal anyway's, my Stag isn't heavy by any means. It's pretty much Stag's version of Colt's LE6920, looks and weighs the same. I won't have to fiddle with it at all. Just pick it up. . . . .wait until Christmas she says. . . . .then just shoot it. Funny thing is, my FFL has the Colt XSE 1911 (O1980XSE) I want in stock. She'd KILL ME if I came home with both of them. Either way I'm gonna be on the Colt wagon!
