What would you choose?
Let's say for whatever reason (money problems, new laws, etc.) you were forced to only be able to have 2 firearms. For me the answer would be pretty easy, though I'd be HIGHLY ticked to have to get rid of the rest of my collection.
First for my long gun I'd have to go with my AR-15. First reason is because ammo is cheap and in good supply since it is a military round. Secondly there are tons of accessories for it. And most importantly you can have many rifles in one by changing out the uppers. Could go from a CQB carbine to a 1/2 MOA varmint/target rifle.
As for a handgun I'd have to keep my Colt 1911. Firstly for sentimental reasons, as it was the first gun I ever shot and was passed down to me by my father. Other than that the .45 ACP is also readily available and can be found in many different bullet types. The 1911 can also be customized in many ways as the AR15.
The final quality that both of these firearms presents is that you can get .22LR conversions for both of them if you want to practice cheaply or teach someone new to shoot.
So that's my choice.....how bout you guys?
