I know we don't do politics here... how about unity?

Let's be honest here. Yall voted for Obama because you still love him, can't get over how cool he is, are too susceptible to the media's praise of him, want to be "cool" with everybody else who votes Obama, etc. You can't have it both ways. Sorry. If you voted Obama then you are responsible for our current situation. Period. End of story.

Obama is the symptom. Liberalism is the disease. Congress makes the laws and the Supreme Court validates them. The President simply signs off.

I am a Liberal Gun owner. And not the "libertarian" type.

I don't care if you want an Abortion. I don't care if you want equal rights for your same sex partner. I have health Insurance and I want to keep my access to healthcare, there fore I want you to have health insurance or the ability to pay for it...

The problem the third parties have is that they haven't realized that they can play the game if they chose... Anybody can run on a Democrat or Republican ticket... Until they realize that you have to be on one or the other to win elections... they will continue to loose.

I am pro 2nd Amendment. I don't want to see an AWB. I think that the legislation they are trying to pass will have little impact on the number of mass shootings we have... Those are a societal issue, not a weapons issue.

Pro second people will destroy their own rights... We attract an ever growing group of anti-establishment type wack jobs... we have an ever declining number of participants... and we wrongly pit one side against the other on the political spectrum... Eventually we will reach a point where there isn't enough people interested in guns and the masses who are not will just get the 2nd amended out of the Bill of rights... I predict within about 100 years or so.

You're right, pro-2nd amendment people are destroying their own rights, because half of them voted for Obama. You can't have it both ways.

Funny how wrong you are, with so many people buying guns the last few years, there is more interest than ever in guns and 2nd amendment. But you people voted for a man that does not represent what the country is....twice.

The way this thread has developed, with all the bashing of Democrats and liberals, simply reinforces the point that the OP was trying to make. If the RKBA is to be preserved, we need everybody. Heck, there are even Socialists that are pro-gun.

I've seen too much spillover of general political ideology -- mostly from the extreme right-wing side -- in this group. Example: "This is a Republic, not a Democracy." That's a right-wing meme.

One of the things that's wrong with this country is the increasing polarization. People feel that they have to pick a side. Then, when they pick a side, they feel that they have to go along with 100% of what that side wants.

Thank goodness we don't have voter registration by party here in Virginia. People don't have to sign on to any sort of political "purity."

So who is going to get the socialists, Democrats, and liberals to quit voting for the anti-gun type politicians?

Got to agree with Alaska so very well explained "With all due respect, if anyone voted for Obama, then that was part of the problem" We Have not seen Nothing Yet...
