I finally bought a camera and took a picture of all my handguns, and here they are. I can' take pictures for crapola, but some of you guys are pretty darned talented, and I like looking at peoples stuff. So, anyway, kind of a redundant thread, but I wanted to show off my guns.

I get the best gun pictures by taking them outside and in full shade.
Then most of the time I just let the automatic camera do it's thing.





Sometimes a little sunlight doesn't hurt but usually it makes for a poorer picture.

Yes it's the Kel Tec PLR-16 .223 (pistol).

It has a BSA Red Dot, Kel Tec forearm, Streamlight laser/light, M1 Carbine sling and Phantom flash hider (which elimiates ALL the flash and reduces the noise a little).

Interesting gun.

Another way to get passable pictures is with a flat bed scanner.
It might take a little experimenting with the adjustments.

I find the best approach is to put down a doormat, invite the cats over, and make sure to include a toe or two.

Buck - interesting indeed - what overall are your impressions - in general terms? I have considered one but wondered re robustness and reliability etc.

Anyone interested in a vid pic COMPLIATION take a peek (about 5Mb). Stretch player window a bit to see text but file is well compressed so much loss of resolution. Some may have seen it before - it's all but current bar two or three changes.

 

[M2 Carbine]

It's quite a machine.
Very accurate, under two inch groups at 100 yards.
Very reliable.
2,550-2,600 fps from a 9 inch barrel.
Somewhat modified AK piston action and AR bolt. Easy to clean.
Uses AR mags.
Very loud, with 5 gallon bucket size fireball without flash hider. Impressive.
Doesn't like steel case ammo.
Not much recoil and Kel Tec has a muzzil brake that reduces that by about two thirds, but doesn't reduce the noise or flash.

It is mine although it wouldn't be everyone's idea of the best defense gun but I'd sure hate to go up against anyone carrying one of these things.

Fun to shoot. Most fun gun I've bought in a long time.

I liked it so well I've already bought a second one.
