I need confirmation about Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.'s alleged gun ban.

Guys... Here's how it works. Say that the corp doesn't care about CCW one way or the other. But then Bubba's Goodyear Tires and Lube Jobs posts a "no guns" sign.

If the corp gets a LOT of angry notes from people around the country saying that they're gonna switch to Firestone because of the ONE franchise where they don't even live, you can pretty much bet that Bubba's gonna get a call from corporate about his signage.

We _could_ be powerful. We did it a few years back with an Applebee's restaurant.

Many Goodyear dealers are independents or franchises. You have to distinguish between these and actual company-owned stores.

I can see it now... a Goodyear store is getting robbed, but the cops hold fast outside, because they're not "allowed" to carry firearms into the store

I work for an independent Goodyear dealer in northeast Kansas, I've never seen or heard of anything about this subject other than some unverified ramblings and rumblings on the errornet.

And then the wrath of corporate might shall come down upon the franchise that thought they'd make policy.
