Well people. I have waited over a year and a half and today I got it.. Its an Alchemy Arms spectre.. Its a hybrid mix of Glock and 1911. The slide is Glock ish (except that its stainless) and removes like a Glock. and the rest is one piece aircraft aluminum. Its striker fired and has a manual safety and grip safety like a 1911. It also has a lock on the bottom by the mag entrance to lock out a mag from be inserted.. This is called KISD (keyed internal storage device)
The grip safety blocks trigger movement and disconnector travel, the manual safety disconnects trigger from the fire control.
This gun can be cocked and locked like a 1911 and when the safety is off and the grip safety squeezed the trigger take up is VERY light and butter smooth and short.. Delightful. Its NOT like a Glock where the trigger travel is double action like.. I have never felt a trigger like this in my life..
I have not shot it yet but here is my photo album in Yahoo to check it out..
My hats off to William McMoore and alchemy.. Its a work of art.. I wil be back asap with a range report (in conjunction to a range report of my Armscor .45 too)

Cool! How many Glock 21's or SA MilSpecs could you have bought for the price of this prize! Looks like the long wait was worth the wait!

Not that a gun design necessarily needs one :D , but what's the point of this thing?

Also, what's the magazine capacity?

its a 10 +1..
The reason is that it shoots and feels like a 1911 (single action smooth short trigger) but is simple like a Glock to breakdown and is reliable like a Glock..

I've known about the Alchemy arms product for years, yet have never seen one!!!
I'm surprised that they are still in busness!!
They must be selling guns somewhere else other than in Arizona!!:banghead:

It's an interesting design. If it were available, I might get one!!

AA Spectre .45ACP

FlyinGN, Good luck on your range run. I'd be very interested in your report. I like the looks of it . Very clean lines and appears to be simple controls. Is that trigger an alloy or plastic? From the pictures it looks to be plastic like the Colt .380 series. Also is that a trigger pivot pin above the trigger or does the trigger pull straight back 1911 style?

The trigger is aluminum and pulls straight back like a 1911. Th ebottom 1/2 is VERY 1911 like.. from the manual safety to the grip safety to the trigger..
oh and the trigger is adjustable like a 1911 too

George,
If you or anyone else is interested, I know where the remaining 45 Luger is. There is no hope of ever getting hands on it. Not unless you steal it! But the nice people will let you look for free.
