I Now Lube my Handgun Cases

Tilos, that looks like a good idea, never thought of it. I've used a large Country Crock tub and sprayed some teflon spray and shook it around, but this sounds even better, and Lord knows after 67 years I've got plenty of bottles of various oils around the garage and gun room.

After a shoot, I tumble the brass, deprime, size and prime to get ready for the next range trip.
I have never found the need to lube my pistol cases when I use my Lee carbide dies, and this is after 30,000 rounds in the last few years:)
I clean my dies after 5,000 rounds.

I believe many who post, they don't need lube, have actually tumbled brass with NuFinish car wax and benefit from the waxed, prelubed cases without realizing it:what:.
wax on, wax off
just sayin'

Good for you. I happen to like to make work as easy as possible, less I work, less I hurt, simple as that. Furthermore it hurts nothing to have a little lube.

This is the same reason I buy vehicles that have power everything, course this is just me!

This is a possible. I size my brass prior to tumbling. Now I'll hear from all those how I'm going to wear out my carbide dies with dirty brass, been doing it this way for years and years, ain't worn out yet and I'm 67 and by the time they are wore out think I'll care?
Think again!

I tumble with Nu Finish as well, but a couple of quick sprays of one shot makes all the difference.

After all this talk I decided to try a little lube on the 9mm pistol rounds I was loading this weekend. WOW what a differance , I'll be using lube from now on. Using Dillon XL650

Exactly what I was getting at, far from being required, but it sure makes life easier.
Whats wrong with easy?

I too am a disabled vet.

There ain't nothin' wrong in my book with easy!

I've found that 45 Colt & 38 spl just don't need the lube.
They work plenty easy for me.

But 357 mag, now that one I have to work too hard w/o lube.
Never thought of doin' it with 9mm.
But makes a lot of sense, I think I'll start lubin' 9s too

i have been lubing my pistol cases for well over a year. but the baggie idea is new to me. i will give that a try. thanx!

Well, I tried it this weekend. Big clear zipbag, about 200 Clean .45 colt starline cases. Two good pumps of Dillon Case Lube, tossed them around a bit. Opened the bag and let the alcohol carrier evaporate. Worked like a champ. Even belling seemed a little more effortless. I will do this on the bigger pistol rounds from now on. Best part is, cases aren't sticky or waxy.

Yep, that may be so. I've been using NuFinish since Day One (which was only about three years ago). :)
But I may give the lube a try anyway, next time I do some .45LC or .357....
