I've been a lurker around here for a few months but I thought this was worth posting so I registered. A very unlucky fly landed on one of my targets as I was shooting today at the range. Sensing an opportunity that does not come often, I put the crosshairs of the Nightforce 12-42 on the little bugger and eased into the trigger on the Tubb 2000 in 260 rem. and let a 95grain Vmax do the hard work. Getting back on target after the recoil it was more than obvious at 42x that the fly was a messy one shot kill. A very distinct splatter ejection from 3 to 6 o'clock on the paper. I guess I `missed' a `little' high and left which explains the splatter. The guy next to me thought I was nuts or a liar when I told him I just killed a fly. At the next target change he was a believer. I will try and post some pics in the next few days.
