I Splurged A Little

ugh I splurged a little this last weekend...

I finally sold my house last month,set aside a certain amount for retribution for waiting soooo long for it too sell.

Well I was set on finding a good M1A/M14 and a Bushmaster M4,found them....but didn't count on coming across these remarkable Garands,so ugh thought what the hey,I'll get one,then again what they hey....I just got both.

here they are,a H&R and a Springfield.My Scott Duff book is in storage and I haven't disassembled the rifles completely to truely evaluate but the H&R has a HRA barrel ,trigger assem,bolt and the Springfield has a Springfield bolt,trigger assem. and barrel as well.Both barrels are shiney with good grooves.

I finally have a Garand to be proud of.Pics of my M1A will be coming also.I'd show a photo of the M4 but see one AR,seen them all right?

Around here, houses are a lot more expensive! Or maybe Garands, even really nice ones, are cheaper.

splurged huh, it dosen't matter how much money i had my wife would kill me if i did that. congrats. the m1a is on my wish list and i have an ar so i guess iani't to bad off.

I'd show a photo of the M4 but see one AR,seen them all right?

I am jealous, especially since the CMP pretty much just ran out of garands. I would be more jealous if I didn't have one at all, though.

this does satisfy my want for having handsome looking Garands though,having HRA and Springfield parts to it.I went for these because I paid less then you would for a new Springfield INC one on a Aussie reciever.

coulda' went for those 2 I hear are on the wall at the CMP but ugh,then I wouldn't getting another house lol!

given that most you see for sale at shows are rack grade at astronomical prices and that the CMP are out of stock at least for now ,thought it was the way to go.

so stop raiding on my parade 30cal lol!

will update with the M1A,possum,nah its just a normal Bushy M4,besides if I dont show it Hillary cant prove Ive got....right?

Im spinning the idea of a DSA FAL also,then again I really want to snag a Les Paul custom....jeez, I keep this up I'll be broke looking for a pop up camper to rest my weary head instead of another house

ok,after all my praise and lust,and even a photo thread devoted to the M14 I finally......finally am the proud owner of one...

its a earlier #057xxx national match.Might take a little time to try my baby out because I just relocated and need to find the shooting spots around here but oh do I love my sweety already.
