Judging by the amount of crime over here, I'd say go for it. I would be shocked if you encountered any druggies. The only people who would bury drugs around here in the first place would be a bunch of kids from the HS. And, condiedering the amount of cops we have in this town, I highly doubt any of them have ever been patrolling through the woods. They are too busy with speeders and supervising road workers.

Over 10 yrs. ago my #3 son and I were diving and where we sat down to put on our fins, under a small rock encased in a sandwich bag was a small farmers match box with "white powder" in it.

I dumped it out in the water, placed it back into the bag and placed the bag back under the rock we found it.

We did not go diving in that area for a long time. We did not call the police we continued to mind our own business.

2) A pound of meth definitely belongs to a bad actor

Too funny.

On a side note. If you talk in your regular voice but as quiet as possible it will not travel as far as a whisper does. Try it. It works best at night. A whisper you think is quiet will travel forever whereas just using your regular voice as quietly as possible travels almost no distance.

welcome to geocaching. Google Earth should be able to confirm the lat/long with the website.

Agree with the 90% probability. Just for the heck of it, I went Geo-Caching with a friend yesterday, and we found no less than four over the course of an hour. Pretty fun stuff, but I can understand if someone thinks it's a drug stash. Fortunately, (most) geocaches specifically state what the are when you open them, and sometimes have a logbook and such. Others are not so obvious (one we found was a specific coin in a parking lot :scrutiny:  ).

"behind a little ledge of rock, maybe 1.5 square feet of space under it. there were 2 flat rocks lodged up. my friend removed one, and found a grey (note: it wasn't see-through...) tupperware container. i remember some markings on it in Sharpie marker"
