I was in a sporting goods store over in Idaho a week ago and looking at the display case of pistols. I noticed they had one of the new Hellcat pistols.
It was next to a row of Sig P365s in all sorts of flavors and colors.
I asked the guy to see it and a P365 to get a good comparison between the two. I fondled both and really liked the Hellcat. Price was $499.
The clerk said that they get one or two in and they are gone within hours and have to wait another week to get another one in. Said it reminded him of when the P365 was released, and now, they aren't selling.
He said since I was a Washington resident, I could buy it from them and they would deliver it to my FFL in Washington the next day to do the paperwork.
Well, I buy all my guns online and have them shipped to my FFL directly within a few days, and this gun shop is typically $50 to $150 over prices I can get online, so I passed.
I decided that I wanted to go ahead and get a Hellcat before any more idiotic gun legislation was passed in Washington and went online.
Online prices are either $520+, or out of stock everywhere that has them listed at $499.
Going back to the gun shop Monday to see if lightning can strike twice, but I think I missed a rare opportunity.
