I want a new gun!

I'm assuming they want a lot more for the Luger, but man they are fun shooters. Nothing wrong with a .357 N-frame either, of course, but there are lots of revolvers that do basically the same thing the same way.
Ain't nothing like a Luger!
The S&W is $3200, it looks to be nearly unfired, a very faint turn line. The Luger is $3500. Hard for me to justify that kind of money right now.

Ever get to the point where your like i want a new gun but not sure what to get, if anything at all?

Do I buy a new upland gun. Current one is a Stoeger Condor 20ga. Just looking for something lighter weight and more shells. But the current one does fit me well and I have never missed.

Do i buy an AR15. Never owned one and think it maybe fun to mess with.

Do i buy a nice 5 or 6” 357 or 44mag revolver? I could try my hand at hunting with it.

Do i buy a 6.5CM for driving an hour to two hours away to shoot long range.

How about a 1911 in 9mm.

the heck with it I don’t need anymore guns…
""Ah the heck with it I don't need anymore guns...""
I've said those exact words so many times. IT doesn't work. Just go out to the gun store and see what you come back with.

If you decide on a shotgun this checks off all the boxes. Much lighter than what you have, holds 4+1 without the plug and is reasonably priced.

And everyone needs an AR.
It says if your not 6ft something and 200lbs this is for you. I’m 6.6 350 lol

Just start snooping in gunshops. Something is bound to jump out and get your attention.

You upland birds must be tamer than mine. Mine were always out of range by the third shot. Then there was the problem of remembering where each of the two landed.

Mostly pheasant and Rabbit gun for the 20ga. Sometimes those pheasant need 2 shots and running rabbits with a pack of beagles behind em need 2-3 cause i suck! Shot at a pheasant this year 2x until he hit the ground and took off running. Threw 2 more shells in the O/U and he took both barrels to put down.

The best thing about AR's is their ability to be swapped out to different calibers.

If it fits the mag, drop a different caliber upper on it and have "more" fun.

I have never shot a rabbit with a shotgun. I always hunted them with a 22. My upland game was dove and blue quail and prairie chickens for a few years. Dove were usually not too hard to find as it was waterhole hunting although I have tried without much luck to to jump shoot them during the day when they sit in bushes after watering and feeding. Quail can be difficult because of the tall grass and shinnery where I hunted them. I started with a 12 guage S X S and after a few years switched to an O//U lite 20 guage. I got more birds because it was faster and I was less tired at the end of a day tromping and running the sand dunes after the quail. After shooting one prairiechicken and attempting to eat it I gave up the chase for them. Yuck on eating a prairiechicken.

Yes, yes …immer wieder.🇩🇪 At least the flag is post-war.

A friend had a beautiful 1943 Luger in 9x19 mm and both the ergos and smooth action impressed me in ways never equalled by other handguns.

Such natural balance, perfect ergos, mild recoil.

What you really want is the Dopamine rush from buying a new toy

^^^This. Something that is escalated by regular presence on these kind of social media forums. The initial rush at the point of purchase and then the secondary rush when one makes the obligatory brag post with pics.

Having a good stash in my "extra" account, I've been looking at a multitude of different platforms lately. Been focused on SxS shotguns, PCC carbines (mostly .44mag) and 1911s. Maybe one of those M-1 carbine clones. Dunno......Just haven't found anything yet that makes me want to "pull the trigger".
