Found a nice old Marlin levergun in .30-.30 a few days ago at my local gunshop. It's on hold for me, and I plan to pick it up tomorrow. It looks like a gun that has been handed down from father to son before - it looks old and rugged, but in that classic sort of way. I'm just getting into hunting, and have purchased a couple of rifles recently that make this gun superfluous. (I love this local gun store, btw - I find all these great used guns at great prices!) I picked up a 7 mm Rem mag, and a 6.5x55 Swede carbine. I also recently purchased a Rossi levergun in .357/38 for plinking, rabbits, etc. I bought the Swede as my main hunting rifle - I figure it's just fine for deer, black bear, and javelina. So I don't NEED the .30-.30, but it's only $149 -- how can I not buy it???
