Something caught my wifes eye near the entrance to wal-mart last night so I stood there and stirred up a conversation with the rent a cop old lady security guard. Though she was nice she kind of irked me.

We were talking about shoplifters and how wal-mart employees weren't allow to do anything about it, only managers. But her being with an outside security company could approach and detain a shoplifter. I asked her about liability since she is not a sworn peace officer, and told her the story of the mall ninja that who attacked a guy with a carry permit using an asp baton. She said that was kinda stupid "if I see a gun I wont let them in the store, I ask them to leave it in the car."

I pointed out that there were no signs what so ever on the doors as required by TN law to forbid firearms, and to my best recollection Wal-Mart didn't have a stance on it and left it up to the store managers. She just shrugged and said thats just what I do, you dont need Guns in Wal-Mart.

I just stood there with my 4516 under my shirt thinking that Grandma was going to stop a shoplifter let alone a armed attacker...yea right.

I walked away and advised her its not the ones that carry legally that you have to worry about.

This was the Bristol TN Wal-Mart.

Sounds like it's not Wal-Mart you have an issue with, it's this lady/the company she works for. If her outlook on the issue isn't in line with the policy of that Wal-Mart, I'd take it up with the manager. He may be unaware of her stance, and if so he should have a chance to talk to her or her supervisor.
