Saw this picture on the web, looks like a LPVO mounted backwards but I can’t be certain

Yep, it's backwards ..... I've seen worse

Saw a whole squad of Army remf's show up with backwards acogs because that's how their Sargent told them to mount them

That photo is just proof you don't even need to aim to have fun with full auto. That does make the target look a lot further away though as well as even less likely to hit anything.

I'd just take it off shooting over water though the splashes let you know where you are hitting.

I read the article about a hour ago. While he was a commanding officer and I would think that he could have specialized in areas that were outside of being a good with weapons, I am not sure that is the case.

"At sea he served as division officer aboard USS BATAAN (LHD 5); weapons and executive officer aboard PATROL COASTAL CREW HOTEL; combat systems and weapons officer aboard USS HOPPER (DDG 70); and executive officer aboard USS JOHN S. MCCAIN (DDG 56)."

I have to wonder if he looks at the back of the computer display to fire missiles. Maybe the rifle weapon system is to simplistic for him?

My bet is that guy down low, with the helmet on knows, "what's up." with the guys above him.

My Grandmother would say, "bless their heart".

I've been arguing with folks about this one on another forum. There is a good possibility it was Photoshopped: among other things, it appears that the scope covers are closed. Nobody is that incompetent.

I REALLY like the mag inserted backwards in the female officer’s AR, also….

Handguard appears to slope down too.. something is off about the pic, aside from the backwards scope.
Yeah, the rail isn't fully seated in the delta ring.
Handguard rail should line up with flat top rain on upper receiver.

There's a lot wrong with not just backwards optics but a bunch of other things.
