Ideas for scope for Ishapore

Hello all. I would like to get a scope and mount for my Ishapore rifle. I'd like something short and compact, maybe in the 4x range. I'd really like a #1 style reticle (with the two side bars that do not connect to the center post and the center post is pointed).

Any ideas? I think the Russian PU scope for the Mosin rifles might work out but I'd rather have something more from the west.

Any other ideas?

Does it have to be a 1" tube?

The older Weaver K4 series looks downright proper on the Lee-Enfield. (Same scope I had on that Lithgow of mine)

Some Lyman All-Americans had that vintage look, as did the earlier Redfields.

Lyman Alaskans look good on the military bolt rifles, too, but they have 7/8" tubes and have gone up in price since Saving Private Ryan.
