I'm sure many of you have seen this image macro before. I've been trying to figure out what the carbine in the picture is. It appears to be a bullpup with a synthetic stock and AR-type carry handle and sights. So... what the heck is it?

Could they be Indian they also use variants of the Tavor? To me it looks like it could be an L98 cadet rifle.

Not a Tavor ... Chinese Type-95 or 97

(yeah, this pic is airsoft, but best I could find on short notice)

Here's a 95
type95-1.jpg

(only real difference between them is caliber ... that and the airsoft one seems to be missing the bit of vertical foregrip type thing)

Nope...you guys are right. Front sight is all wrong for a Tavor as well. Looks like the Chinese gun to me as well now. I was guessing.

Can anyone tell me what the hell their doing in the face palm pic??
I've been wondering about that for like a year!! Someone!! Anyone!!

Seenterman ... my guess is its something akin to "Jazz Hands" since they were performing some sort of choreographed routine.

in Canada you can get them.. about 700USD for the 5.56x45 version.

from what i have heard, the 5.56mm version is, type 97,... "not so good", while the 5.8x42mm version, type95, is supposed to be a preaty decent firearm.

Hmm, not nearly as nice looking as it appeared in the facepalm picture. Thanks for coming through, though, everyone!
