Just got a nice glock 23c. If you don't know, the 'c' is for compensated. It has factory installed compensation slits on the top of the slide with matching slots in the barrel.
This may be a stupid question, but here goes.
I want to try this little puppy in my next IDPA match. I am pretty sure that I cannot use it in the stock service pistol class, even though it is as stock as a 'c' model comes. If I substituted the compensated barrel with a non-compensated, after market barrel, would I then qualify for the SSP class? Or, because I have modified the factory build of the gun by using a different barrel, will I have to shoot enhanced?
Maybe the gray hairs here know.
Thanks,
Mac
