If a UBC passes, would you continue to buy or stop?

Would you continue to buy firearms knowing you would be on a registry?

Unless you've paid cash for everything gun related, not joined the NRA, or never written a politician I think you're on a list.

So join some anti-2A orgs, and post a lot on their forums favoring gun control and get on some different lists Make it look like you saw the light and really confuse them.

Of course I'll keep buying. My wife will soon purchase (I hope) her own defensive sidearm, but there are none anywhere in stock. I've looked for many, many hours. Frustrating.

We may have to say no to purchasing more hardware, because there is none to be purchased!:cuss:

'THEY' can add me to all the lists they want. I've already added 'THEM' to the list of folks who can kiss my (insert slang term for a quadruped beast of burden or the back of one's lap)! A list that sadly, grows longer with each passing day, a result no doubt of my impending seniorcitizenshiphood and a genetic predisposition to an inability to 'suffer fools gladly'.

Neither. There is a third option that does not need to be mentioned. That would be my choice.

+1 on this one. I voted no, because my FFL purchases would be over at that point. I'm equipped well enough to survive. I won't be happy, but I'll survive.

Well ideally I would buy all the guns I can afford now before the hypothetical UBC goes into effect.

Half of my firearms have been bought in the past through dealers/FFL's had to do the NICS check anyway. IMO it doesn't compel me not to buy anymore if the UBC did pass.

there is NO REGISTRY with the UBC law as proposed by the Senators. It actually explicitly prevents that.

Sorry... but this whole UBC thing is getting just paranoid.

You buy your guns through a dealer - you already fill out the form. NOTHING will change.

If they are EVER compiling a list with all models and gunowners... that's gonna be a very long and very inaccurate list....

The UBC is being proposed to close private sales. I thought I read where they will allow transfers among family without a check. However, will this also include long guns as well when right now there is less restrictions on their sale?

If the government is after you, I don't think it matters, they will come equipped with the documents necessary to search your home, and other registered dwellings, along with anything in your name or the names of your family. So what changed, nothing.
Other than that as far as random checking or confiscation goes, it's a waste of time on their part. There are just too many guns, "off record" that have been traded sold and handed down to actually know where anything really is or went.

+1

Why punish firearms suppliers by not purchasing their wares if you need them? The paranoia has gotten out of hand.

I'm sure we're going to be shocked at the amendments we thought already dead being attached like a sturgeon to the UBC, but it and they will die! If some watered-down portion of the UBC is written into law, despite our best efforts, that violate our 2nd amendment, we will remember, we will vote, and we will not be silenced! If something is written into law that actually makes some sense (whoa, goin' out on a limb here), we'll remember that too!

Now, back to the chore of trying to find some ammo for my wife's hardware!

And we never have to use our society security number to identify ourselves because, when they passed that, they said that wouldn't happen.

Oh, wait...

And no, it isn't "just paranoid"

What I owned and sold went through UBC, but I do not plan to buy anything. One handgun is enough for me.

It's not paranoia if they're really out to get you, +1 on being an old man if they don't grant a waver for gifting to family members I'll just bury them and leave my grandkids a treasure map.
