If asked, will the GOP change it's tune?

So, back to the topic...

How many of you are going to contact the RNC or your representatives to tell them why you voted (or didn't vote) the way you did? Are you going to tell the GOP to shape up, or are you going to hope the election results are message enough?

I wouldn't tell them I voted straight Republican, because I wouldn't want them to think everything was hunky dory.

I voted Ensign and he is pretty good, I will never vote for any gun grabber
so mcclib,ghoulianni etc will never get my vote.

Why did the republicans lose? I think perhaps because the neo-cons and religious extremists in the party turned off a lot of people. People like Santorum. You have a very strong christian-taliban wing in the GOP that turns off 98% of the population who chooses to THINK.

The Repubs accuse Dems of "tax and spend" but the repubs "borrow and spend" to the same degree. The GOP has long abandoned it's fiscal conservative, small government stance, and has raped civil liberties and the constitution. Bush is all for passing the AWB is ever passes his desk.

So the GOP decided to become big government, rape civil liberties, borrow and spend, and kowtow to the religious-facists.

So, yeah, they better change.

American raised people of latino descent are not the same thing as freshly transplanted Mexicans.

I've lived all my life around Latinos (my godmother is Mexican) and there is a significant difference in the outlook, ideals and beliefs of American raised Latinos and Mexican raised ones.

All those people who come here to work illegally (I'm not talking about the criminals and gang members, but the honest ones ... which are the bulk of them) they are at their core conservatives. They know what life is like under Socialism and heavy government regulation (and the corruption that follows heavy regulation) ... they know what life is like being disarmed by the state ... they believe in God and pray to Jesus every day ... they do not accept post-modernism.

These people would vote for a real conservative Republican any day of the week.
