He's able to walk, aparently he cracked some vertabrae, but they are still properly aligned. I've never heard of someone breaking his back and being able to walk,

I walked away from a car accident about 15 years ago after crushing a lumbar vertebrae, and breaking the 'ears' off two vertabrae didn't know how badly I was injured at the time but my back did feel a little wobbly. I hope he makes a full recovery and in good time. Probably a good chance that he'll hate damp weather from this time forward. Prayers sent.
