Illegally Conceal Carry

Anyone illegally conceal carry? If you didn't live in a state where you could carry, would you? Obviously this refers to those of us who live in places that don't allow for carry permits. Or those who don't get a permit but still carry.

I live in Illinois where I cannot carry legally. However, there are/have been circumstances where I would have appreciated being able to carry.

And who those thinking "Just move", I have plans to do that next year....I'm working on my Masters degree now and have to live here for my degree.

I used to occasionally hide a gun in my car when I lived in California, but I never "carried" even though at times, I wished I could. Even with the pistol in my car, I kept the magazine separate in hopes it would mitigate the consequences should I get caught. It's a ticklish situation isn't it?

Good luck until next year - and... really, I wouldn't discuss this on the Internet. In my case, the statute of limitations is long past.

You're probably right

Even hearing hypothetical situations from those who do live in CCW states; what would you do if you lived in a non-carry state? (Besides move lol) Would you still carry? Maybe some of the time? All of the time? Not at all?

The closer I get to moving and the ability to carry, the more I think about it...

We live in a crazy ass world and I would feel a lot safer if I was protected.

Hearing about the 'Mom shooting dog' story; my dog gets a walk every morning and we see dogs that are out of control all the time. Thankfully they are always on a leash or behind a fence so it never becomes a problem....but it's simply a numbers game. At some point it will happen.

This is just an example, but many recent instances have sparked my paranoia and have me looking over my shoulder....

Here on THR, we follow the law, period. If it's wrong, immoral, or just plain stupid, we fight to change it. But we don't. break. the. law.
