The Illinois Supreme Court has just now released its opinion in Wilson v. County of Cook and it contains ‘slightly’ good news for Second Amendment advocates.

Since the U.S. Supreme Court did not specify the standard of review to be applied to gun laws, the trial court will likely use one of the more deferantial standards and uphold the law (likely to be affirmed by the appellate courts).

My $.02.

My honest opinion is that there is little hope for this case in Illinois.

I think it very well will pass, but only after lots of money spent and many years thru the courts untill it gets to the (US) Supreme Court. Because the courts here in IL are as inept and corrupt as any you would find in a third world country.

Greetings
Actually worse than third world.. At least here in Peru CC is completely legal and there are few limitations what type of firearm anyone can have at home. I live in Danville when up north there and sure miss my 3.5 inch model 19 in a shoulder holster or the 5 shot 38 Special on a Hip Grip.
