Tomorrow should be a good day. I've got 60 rounds loaded for the XD-40, 30 rounds for the Taurus Mil-Pro 40, 30 rounds for my SKS, 100 rounds for my Ruger 22/45 and 40 rounds for the Walther P-22.:D I know this might be a light load for some of you guys, but for me, this is a good day. I'm psyched about tomorrow, can't wait.:D

Your number of rounds per gun are a bit low, but since you're taking so many guns, I'll let it slide.

That was the first thing that came to my mind, as well.

Redneck with a 40:

Have a GREAT time at the range.

Side note. . . when my son and I go to the range, we take a minimum of 1,000 rounds of .22 lr.
The .45 acp count is around 200-300 rounds and .223 is around 200 to 300 also.
If other arms are taken, the round count is always more than what we'll need.
"Better to have it and not need it. . . as to need it and not have it."
Don't forget the mandatory eye and ear protection and some coffee, Gatorade and/or water.

hey Redneck with a 40,
Your boss just called and said you have to work tomorrow, so go ahead and drop the ammo off at my house. I will make sure it gets used up for you:D

As much as I would like too, I can't afford to shoot 500 + rounds every weekend.:p What I posted above is what I can afford on a weekly basis. I'm ok with my round count, I get to have fun and stay proficient, thats the goal.:D

Save one for later

Redneck w/a 40, in my family we have a tradition of savin' one (round) for later. Old family story to go with it. Just thought I'd share.

guy, your round count is perfectly fine. as long as you don't go goofy and blow off your entire magazine(s) in 5 seconds, you are all set up for a full day of shooting.

of course, there is a time and place for rapid fire, but slow fire is quite good and dare i say just as if not more enjoyable.

i went to the range with my sister and shot for nearly four hours. our total round count was only 60. of course, this was with my 7.62x54r, but the point is that one does not need to blast away all 60 minutes of each hour.

that said -

you're going to be cleaning a lot of guns!

If only it reloaded as fast as it unloaded.

Progressives are cool, but my arm ain't as fast as my trigger finger.

Have fun and take the time to spend quality target time with your CCW if applicable.

For conversational purposes, I can't afford to shoot 500+ rounds per week, either.

I get to the range about once a month. Plus, the ammo (especially the .22 lr) I bought back when ammo was 'cheap'.
My (total) .22 lr count is around 40,000+.

Besides, we're just 'funnin' with ya.

Snowing here. No range time, today, for me.

Enjoy.

Have fun.

Last week in my six hour range visit I went through 107 rds in my CZ52, 85rds through my Russian sks,50 rds through my 22, 56rds through my M1, and somewhere around 130 rds though my 91/30 MosinNagant .

Any body know a cure for a sore shoulder?

Silverlance, you're right, with the ammo I'm taking, I can shoot for a solid two hours.:D dwarren, I do have a 357 mag, a Taurus Tracker, however, I'm not taking it on this trip.
