Kahr P9 Covert (Traded in Bersa 380)

My name is Scott and I'm a gun-o-holic.

I guess I'm not understanding. What's the problem again? Sounds like a nice collection to me.:neener:

You must be single. My wife would kill me if I spent that much $$$ on firearms.

The problem is he's running out of room and or money.

Don't worry. You'll evolve. :D

Also note - he has more guns now than he bought in 2007 now in 2008... and it's still only the first quarter. Come 2009, he might be responsible for the upsurge in firearms purchases by himself. :D

I do not believe i have enough yet to be a gun aholic...atleast I am still in denial.

Gun auction is next week and I have money for it so...the upsurge in firearms purchases is because of me.

You call 14 guns an addiction. You seriously need to get out of the teens and into the 20s or above before you can call yourself a real gunoholic.

Hint. The cheapest way to get there is to go into the milsurps while you still can.

Actually, I'm married with two kids. The S&W M&P 9mm Compact and Marlin 60 are my wifes. The Ruger 10/22 belongs to my oldest daughter. I bought the Kahr P9 Covert because my wife is very slender and has trouble concealing the M&P. She's going to Front Sight with me next week for four days of defensive handgun training and is working on getting her license.

I offered to let a friend rent the condo we inherited for no more than the price of our mortgage. His first response was that he would have to think it over because that would involve moving his guns, which means he would have to find or build a gun safe that will hold over thirty pistols and rifles.

That man has it bad. He's so popular at the gun store they offered him a job: I guess they figured he was spending so much time there they may as well start paying him.

I have a gun problem, too. I also started in 2006 and although I don't yet have as many as you, I certainly would if I had the financial means. When I say financial means, what I really mean is that if I had $500, I'd go get a $500 gun. If I somehow happen to save $1000 (it happens rarely), then it's time for another nice one.

I've never been able to save more than $1900 since 2006. Every time I get to around there I go crazy and buy all manner of guns and accessories until I'm broke again. It sucks to be an addict. I suppose it's better than being a crackhead, although I sometimes wonder if that could possibly be more addictive.

It's not a problem until you either:

A. Can't afford any more guns (or ammunition)
B. Don't have room for anymore guns (or ammunition)
or C. Lose your spouse because of said guns and ammunition

2006:
Ruger 10/22 w/ mount and optics
Yugoslavian very good SKS

2007:
Yugoslavian unissued SKS
WASR-10 w/ mount and red dot
Remington 870 12 gauge
Bushmaster M4A3 w/ mount and red dot
Russian Tula M91/30
Swiss K-31 w/ mount and optics

2008:
Yugoslavian Mauser M48

Planned Purchases for this year:
A yugoslavian or bulgarian AK
20 inch AR 15 upper
ruger M77 in .22-250

Suffice it to say that my wish lis tis rather large and I do not envision myself ceasing to purchase guns in the next twenty years or so.

dude, we're only 4 months into 2008 and already 7 GUNS!!! :what: time to get you into rehab. :neener:

You think that's bad....

Try two gun nuts married to each other. We had to buy a new safe last year, and frankly, I figure by the end of THIS year we may have filled it.

It's not an addiction....it's an investment. I'll keep telling myself that. :D

I'm working on getting my wife truly hooked. I include her on the buying decisions and she's been pretty supportive so far. I'm hoping that four days at Front Sight will push her over the edge and give her the confidence that she needs to really enjoy shooting.
