I'm watching a home improvement type show on A&E and it's interresting to say the least. One night the job site gets robbed and foreman say "it's just another obstacle" or something to that effect. He seemed to not be bothered very much. Next night same thing, only this time he says "I called the cops and there not gonna come". So what does he do? He "nips the problem in the bud". How does he do this? He and two buddies (and obviously a camera man) wait out front in his truck with a PGO shotgun and a 12 pack. So there drinking for about 5 hours before they see some lights in the house. They all rush over and break the door down scaring the thief away. They make a half-assed, fully drunk, attempt to chase the thief until they reach the woods and they do the smartest thing I saw these guys do which is go home. :uhoh:

I'd probably have my shotgun ready to go if I suspected I was going to be robbed. However, I wouln't be drinking and I certainly wouldn't be running around the neighborhood with it.

I'm confused as to how this ever got on A&E. I wonder if this guy will get charged with something now that its been on national television. At least DUI. What about drinking while holding a loaded shotgun... thats gotta be against some rule. :banghead: I wonder how many soccer moms saw that one... What will they think about construction workers?

I saw this show and was thinking the same thing. The duffi just replaced the lock on the 20' milvan they were storing the stuff in after it was broken into. no extra lighting, locks, or any other preventive measures were taken. (and all it takes is some bolt cutters to get through most locks, first hand knowledge)

the guys stayed up till about 230 am, drinking beer, then the guys tried to breakin to the house and milvan again. With the camera man shining the light in their faces in the truck parked across the street.

There is better ways to secure your stuff then to chase the bad guys with a gun after you have been drinking...

As Bugs would say..."whatta maroon!"

I forgot about the light. How stupid was that? They were sitting there lit up like a christmas tree.:banghead:

I just used "12 pack" as a general referance to 'beer'. They could have been drinking more or less I have no way of knowing, however, at the end when the guys were chasing the theif, they were clearly intoxicated to some extent.

Its obviously an anti-gun ploy. Think about: people who "take the law into their own hands", and then give the impression that everyone who owns a gun drinks and does something like this.:cuss:

LMAO, not to mention they busted up a perfectly good door while doing all of this. Hahahaha. I bet the dude was pissed off when his plan did not work and he had to replace his door LOL.
