I'm using a LOT of self control in not buying this...

wrong. 300 is a perfectly acceptable price for that gun. that isn't an express.

lesser guns sell for 450 right now all day long. that gun looks to me in 95 pct condition, real wood, etc.

an 870 tactical on the shelf is going for what, 425+tax?

the gun i linked is PROBABLY nicer or at the very least as nice as a new 870p, with more history, for a lot cheaper.

i want it bad but im saving my coin for something other than YET another shotgun. man i want it though.

Where I used to live if you couldnt get a Wingmaster for less than 250 then you screwed yourself. Granted condition is everything nowadays. Id be happy to 300 for one that was a 20 gauge but there are just way too many 12s for that price.

Everyone should know used 870s are the best deal going in pump shotguns these days. They are littered all over pawn shops for screaming deals. Of course they are all 12 gauges. Blah.

Maybe so where you live, not true here either. $300 would be a great price here. But then again, it seems all guns and ammo prices here are well above the "internet average" for everywhere else

$300 would be a great price here.

That's because most of the 870s that go to Florida rust away eventually. I'm sure in Arizona, you can get a cheaper one (and an old farm truck without any rust, too).:D

Couple years ago, LE turn-ins like this one were going for $260, so $300 today is a good price. Don't see these as often as I used to, so this may be your opportunity to avoid kicking yourself down the road. You can get your pistol later.

FWIW, I'd much rather have a blued 870 (wingmaster or express), than the crappy finish on the newer express that I bought. Wanna trade?

The outside doesn't matter much, to me, on a gun like that.

What does matter is the inside, and if I had it to do over again, I would have sprung for a Wingmaster over an Express.

I like 870's, but don't see anything to like about this one. I'd pass at any price, but if you like it I'm sure it is a good gun.

its basically an 870p with wood furniture. I'd put an extension on it and be done with it. the UHP stamp lends some character too. so i mean, i guess it is an 870p. looks to be in great condition too. i could go scoop it it up, but i just really need to save the fun money towards a rifle or pistol.

theres a reason i post in the shotgun section more than the otheres though. :D

The Utah State Police stamp is interesting if not compelling enough. Nice share w/the team! But shouldn't this gun have been in a different mode? The barrel is kinda long and the magazine, short...
Al

it may have had an extension. i was really close to actually buying it tonight. i want a wingmaster anyway. if i bought the particular gun, id have it cut to 18.5" and add one of Max100's extensions.

I want to know where you find wingmasters for less than $300

Iowa. They are available here for less than $300, if you keep your eyes open. I got one for less than half of that. (Ok, not including tax - but the base price was $149.95.) I've never ever seen one that cheap, but I do see them for less than $300 pretty routinely.

Saw a police trade in Wingmaster from TVA sell for $180 just the other day there are better deals out there just be patient.

300 for a wingmaster in good condition with a department stamp...grab it up. I already have one express and one department stamped wingmaster or I'd be on it.

Time was several years ago you could have it for $250 but with prices recently those days are long gone.

Same 870 I have (20" bead sighted former police model) - love it. $300 is reasonable to me. If it were in my neck of the woods, I'd snap it up!
