Very interesting site and prices seem great. Anyone ever ordered from them, and if so how was the experience?

They have a location in Boise, I've purchased two firearms from them and my wife bought a XD for me for Christmas there. Their prices range from good to MSRP, a year ago they had Springfield XDs for about $475, they are now charging close to MSRP.

In Boise at least they are very professional and friendly, they have both a shop and an indoor range.

Some people have had long lead times, I suspect this is because they list firearms for sale that are not in stock, they have to order them and that can take a few weeks.

It took about 3 weeks for my Mossberg 590 to come in but I saved almost $200.

I've been visiting another shop lately but I would still purchase from them and use their pricing as a reference.

I would avoid them at all cost. Their internet sales dept have the worst customer service I have ever seen. Do a search on them and you will find more complaints than praises.

As with many other internet retailers (hardly just in firearms), Impact lists a lot of stuff they don't actually have, sometimes at prices notably lower than any posted elsewhere. To quote from their "whoops, we've gotta put you on backorder" email:

Please note: prices are subject to change. While every effort is made to fulfill your order at this price, we reserve the right to make increases prior
to delivery. You will be notified prior to shipping if any price changes occur.

You can get stuff from them, but be aware that anything they advertise that's a.) a really great deal and/or b.) seems to be available only from them probably isn't either a.) or b.).

I have withheld my ranting regarding Impact because my anger is still too fresh.

Suffice to say, 7400 dollars and 9 months of BS and stalling do not sit well with me.

I assume all you folks that made negative comments about this company have actually dealt with them and are not just spreading rumors. I never dealt with Impact Guns online just in the store and they have always been professional. Chief aka Maxx Load

I've also frequented the store here in Boise. Good folks. My wife and I took the CCW class there and everything was absolutely 100% professional.

I have never ordered from their website so I cannot validate or offer an alternate opinion to those listed above.

They have a local store in Utah that I shop at frequently and shoot at the range. The people that work there are nice and friendly but I have never purchased anything online from them.

I do most of my online shopping at MidwayUSA.

Yes, I have dealt with them. I will never do so again.

Awright...straight from 1st person.

I wanted to buy 2 M249 SAW Paras from Impact. I contacted then LE sales rep Bob Bailey. He explained that the guns were 7389.00 ea from FNH and the terms would be 1/2 up front and 1/2 when they got approved F3s from FNH to them.

So I paid. This was in March. In April they called and wanted me to get another letter. They (they blamed FNH) didn't like the first PD letter I had gotten. So, I acquired another one, with nothing else on the demo letter but the M249s. The letter said "XXX PD requires TWO examples for our testing purposes."

In August, they called and said "hey, we got F3s, please send the rest of the money. So I sent out another 7389.00

I got the 1st gun on 9/11/06. No notice, it just showed up. No manual. No links, no mag, no anything. Just packed in the FN factory box, disassembled with a spare bbl and large M60 type sling.

So I called FNH and IG and was told "that's just how we ship them now". Hmm...my spider senses were tingling.

I asked Bob, "so where's my other gun?"

"I don't know, I thought I saw 2 of those here, but I'm not sure where the other one is now."

A few months go by. Bob is not returning my calls. I finally start emailing him and get to the point of frustration. My last email conversation with him was basically "I demand an answer to the status of my other weapon, or you folks can just send my money back."

After the long New Years break, I get back and start calling IG. I find out that Bob Bailey is no longer employed there. I'm told that "someone" will help me figure out what's going on.

Another IG guy (I forget his name) calls me back and says that they need ANOTHER letter, since FNH thought that the original letter pertained to ONE gun. UTTER BS!

Subsequent calls to Bob Bailey revealed that someone who IG's management was trying to make brownie points with GOT MY GUN! Apparently it was someone who just couldn't wait the 6 months that I had waited and IG loves to portray themselves as "big money hustlahs" with a huge, bustling operation who are sooooo busy doing the "big deals"...

So, about February I am so enraged that I'm calling the two names and numbers I've been told are the "owners" and demanding my money. One goes on vacation, I start calling the other. The other owner had no Fn CLUE as to the issued I had with the 1st owner...so then I start harassing the operations manager. I get excuses and excuses and finally I tell him thusly.

"If you don't have a check for my money here by Monday, I'm getting in the truck and driving to Ogden...you're not untouchable, Chief."

Well, then he got scared, whined that I had threatened him, and generally piddled down his leg.

I told him "I'll be there with the cops on Tuesday morning and will camp out on your desk until I get my money, screw you guys and your lame excuses. Someone else got my other MG and now I'm SOL and have to go source another one. I'm gonna need some venture capital soon, I'lll be sure to call you guys up and ask for a 9 month INTEREST-FREE loan. OK?"

That tuesday my money arrived via FedEx. They had, quite tackily (is that a word) reduced the amount of my refund by the amount of the shipping charges on the first MG...kind of a last "FU" to me for not wanting to listen to their BS anymore.

So, there ya go, first hand info from me...

I'm so mad now, I gotta go outside and walk around in circles for a bit.

I'm going to induct them into the "Hall of Shame" area on azexarms.com forums pretty soon too.

It seems that most folks I've had probs with have been involved in NFA dealings. What is it with these sleazy, slimy MG dealers? I'm an MG dealer but have never cheated anyone....Perhaps I have the recessive gene known as "ETHICS" which seems to be missing from the DNA strand of many folks in the gun biz.

Received another email from Impact since this thread began:

Dear Valued Customer,

One or more backordered items have had a price increase from the manufacturer.
Your order will be changed to reflect this new price. Updated pricing is as
follows :

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

All prices are subject to change based on manufacturer's price at time of
availability. Please contact customer service at 801-409-1021 if you have any questions.

The only surprise there is that it might mean that they actually expect to ship me something.

95% of what they advertise is not in stock but accepting orders! What a rip off!

A year or so ago I placed an order with Impact Guns. The item was time critical: I needed it for an upcoming course. When the order didn't arrive, I telephoned Impact Guns to check when it would be shipped. After several minutes of talking with an uninterested person who finally said that he couldn't even guess when it would be shipped, I cancelled the order and went elsewhere.

It looks now as if that one experience is typical of other peoples' experiences with Impact Guns.

I bought a Glock 19 HLD from them a couple months ago. I had searched on them a little before buying there, and saw a mixed bag of responses, but most were positive that I saw at the time. I ordered the G19, for about $100 (OTD) less than local, it showed in stock, then the next week it showed backorder, I never got notification it was on back order, I emailed twice w/ no response, then I called, that's when I found out I ordered after they 'ran out' and mine was on back order.

Well, while I understood how that could happen, I didn't like the way they handled it, so I called to speak to the owner, and left one of them a vm mail. A few hours later I got a call from someone on their behalf, said he would get me one sooner than the previously stated backorder. Still wasn't the best in constant communication, but did get my weapon about a week later, so if I expected to get the weapon 1 week after order for ground delivery across country, and I received it right at about 2 weeks, then it was a week later than I anticipated.

At the end of the day, they tried to make it right. I was upset when it first went weird, and I certainly feel bad for a couple of people that the stories posted here, but once I got on the phone w/ them, my deal worked out ok. Now, if they weren't able to get their hands on something for me, maybe it wouldn't have gone as well, but I also had the option to cancel the order, so...

Not to dismiss other people's problems, but thought I'd post that it does end better sometimes, and I've seen posts from people that were happy with them before, but I do recommend TALKING ON THE PHONE to them, rather than just ordering online and emailing, I think the phone follow up is better, and don't order stuff if you're in a real hurry for it, but if they happen to have a real good deal on something you're looking for, you can give it a shot, and cancel if you don't want to wait, if they start w/ a runaround...

Impact guns???

They had a woman suicide there on last Saturday in the middle of the afternoon. Small blurb in the local paper, and then nothing at all. My youngest son went there yesterday to shoot, (it was raining) and a couple of the emploee's denied there had been a suicide on their range. :uhoh: They will stand at the counter and lie to you, what do you think they will do over the internet????:scrutiny:
