Not crazy about the boat paddle stock but think you got a great deal on both the rifle and the scope. Looking forward to your range report to see how well your pristine 20 year old rifle does.

I often brag about my "boat paddle" stainless steel Mk. 2 that consistently shoots 1/2 groups at 100 yards. That's with a old Weaver fixed power 6x scope.

I prefer the .270 over the .243 though.
