Below is a picture of a "command post" reticle. The scope has fine crosshairs and selector ring on the scope that allows you to turn and select the thicker "post" that is seen in the picture. I really like it for hunting. I am aware that there is a mathematical formula that allows one to use the known height of the reticle to estimate the range to target but it will be a fixed 4x, so anything that looks right in the scope will be within .308 MPBR thereby negating the need for me to do complex math...
