I'm going to buy a gun tomorrow, and then I'm taking my whole family to the mall for a shopping spree. I hope many, many people will do this, so these punk illegals will understand that while yes, they are useful to us, we do NOT depend on them. If they were not around, yes we would pay higher prices for homes, lawn care, janitorial services, fruits and vegetables because those business owners would have to pay a decent wage to Americans, but we'd save a bundle in providing all the free services so I think it would be a wash.

Please, if you can, spend some money tomorrow that you wouldn't have otherwise spent. Let's show them that its still OUR country!

I am going to mow my grass, dig a drainage ditch, pour some concrete for a fence repair, wash my car, replace a torn roof shingle and work in my tomato garden. I'm going to do it all for well under minimum wage (free).

All of these things are traditionally the "jobs no American will want" but I do them happily all the time. Where is my handout from the dot gov?

I don't think I'll notice anything. I do have my flag ready to fly in the morning also.

Does anyone really think that the day-labor guys won't be outside every Home Depot as usual?
It may be a day of protest but they have to get $50 same as usual to take down the Western Union.

Educated Response

Sounds like someone has done his research on the border issue. Oh, wait, not. Have you actually listened to yourself talk lately you sound like the SouthPark characters the "they took 'er jurbs" episode. Maybe if people (native-born americans) actually cared about working instead of complaining all the time about people (mexicans/ imigrants) undercutting their wages and did some actual work of their own something would get done. Obviously, there are exceptions to the rule but as in the film "a day without a mexican" (if you haven't seen it you should) the economy would begin to fail if it weren't for the illegal immigrants. People like you are why the rest of the country hates Texans you give the rest of us a bad name. Just as an added point of interest I say this because I am Hispanic and support their cause because if the illegals aren't here to do the jobs AMERICANS would and should do, then to Hell with the so-called ideology of being American. It seems that in the midst of the immigration issue people have forgotten what this country was founded... on the amalgamation of all races coming together to comprise the U.S.A. through hardwork and sacrifice. :banghead:

p.s. if this starts a string of race related posts on THR I am sorry, but ignorance will not stand.

You are the one that brought up race, as is usual in this argument.

It's about criminals, crime, and the fact that repeat and arrogant criminals should not be rewarded in this country, regardless of their skin color or what jobs they do.
I have lived in Texas all my life and I am well aware of the contribution that LEGAL immigrants from Mexico, Germany, Italy etc have and continue to make.

YOU are the problem. YOU are the racist. YOU are the trouble maker.

And, YOU are the ignorant one.
