Yep you would be correct. I would agree there prices are high as well but I have always been treated well. I'm hoping I don't have to ditch this place as it's located very close to where I work, but will see about that. No one has balked about my declining to have my DL scanned but I'm still curious why they are asking.

did you ever find out why the range wants to scan your license and what they use the iformation for?

Not yet. Planning on going this Thursday, hopefully I can catch one of the owners and ask them for an explanation and share my distaste. I'll post after my next visit.

I buy so many guns from there it doesnt matter to me they got the # if they want it i just told um they need to start tracking what i buy and giving discounts since there all ready tracking

So, if it is for promotional reasons all they need is the zip code. If it is for promotional reasons then why not just ask the person to fill in a form that they could print mailing labels from? Does the store guarantee that the data base will not be stolen or hacked?

Lately I have been hearing strange comments about the The Firing Line and these have been keeping me from bothering to take a trip down there to see them. This situation just makes it harder for me to talk myself into it.

Are you over 35 years old (especially with a beer gut and mustache)? I've gotten the impression, despite being cleancut and professional, that they seriously dislike the equation of 'young adult + guns'.

I would have declined to have my license swiped also, but I wasn't given a choice. She took it, as they do for range time to keep it with your waiver, and swiped it without asking.
