headed to Indy for the 50th Anniversary US Nationals this weekend and just might have time to squeeze in a little shooting. Any decent ranges up there?

indoor ranges in Indy

Don's Guns used to have an indoor range. I don't know if that is still the case. But it's a place to start or get some information.

Coyote Creek is south of Indy in Mooresville on St. RD 67. That is near the Nationals. Not a good indoor range, but , a place to shoot. Poe's restaurant is just south of it and Gray Brother's is just North of it. That is the closest. Eagle Creek has a range, but I have never been. Camp Atterbury is outdoor, Closed Monday and Tuesday, on I-65 south in Edinburgh. Go to Don's at your own risk
Unfortunately, I believe Coyote Creek is no more. A friend stopped in 2 weekends ago and the door was open and the store was stripped!!! 
As to Don's, it's your money but this slug tried to sell us all out recently. When Officer Laird was killed by a headcase with a SKS recently, good ol' Don gave several interviews about how SKS's and other "assault weapons" were ONLY for killing people and should be banned. He went on to bemoan the fact that, although he doesn't want to sell the things in his store, the public demand forces him to stock them. Total loser. Per some of his own family members the whole reason he began the stores was to launder drug money......
No experience with Popguns. If you get to Martinsville, drop me a line and we'll hook you up with an outdoor range.

Thank you. for the correction. I was going on the last data I had about Don's Guns. I apologize for the bad information. I wasn't aware that things were that bad.

Another vote for Pop Guns. Clean, well lit, state of the art range. I try to stop in there whenever I go to Indy.
Avoid Don's like the plague. Unless a tiny range, populated by gang bangers browsing all the gold plated (seriously) Lorcins are what you like. I visited there once, walked about halfway down the counter, did a U-turn and have never been back.

Can you get someone to take you to the fish & game club on 136 by the Girls' School?
Pop's on the southeast side is good, have been there several times as my boxing club is there on that side of the city. However, be advised, it's a haul from the westside especially in Indy traffic (aka stop and stay still for no apparent reason).

Thanks for the info guys. I appreciate it very much. Not exactly sure if the Wife and I will have time to shoot, but we try to shoot on every trip we go on. We will be visiting an old Air Force buddy of mine. I haven't seen him since the 1997 Brickyard 400. My wife (the one I have now) has never met him. She has however talked to him on the phone several times. Everyone PLEASE have a SAFE holiday weekend!
