So locally, I ran into someone selling an Inland M1 carbine. He said its not all Inland parts, He is asking 600 for it. Just curious what the average price on these are, I tried to price check on the CMP website. But they do not have any for sale.

I'll see if I can add some pictures

$600 is a decent priced for a non-Import marked rifle "if" it is in good condition.
Remember just becuase it looks good doesnt mean it is. You can put a new parkerizing job on a worn out piece of junk and you would think its in good shape.
You need to gauge the muzzle , check the bore, check the rifle for worn parts

Can you gauge the muzzle the same way you would with a garand? Or would you need a special tool?

Edit: How would one know if it is a Non-Import gun? Sorry for so many questions, but it is better than getting burned on a deal.

Imports are usually marked on the barrel. Most are in fine print.

$600 is well worth it for a real USGI rifle.

There will be initials or the name of the Importer someonewheer on the rifle, usually on the barrel. You have to look hard as sometimes they are small.
You can guage the muzzle with a 30.06 round not a carbine rd. Not as accurate as a gauge but will give you a idea
