Today I shot my Ruger (regular) Old Vaquero with some mild 44 magnum loads but noticed a sharp edge on the trigger that bothered me a bit. I do not have that problem with the trigger of my Ruger Old Bisley Vaquero so I thought a Bisley trigger would be an relatively easy switch and an improvement to my regular Old Vaquero revolver.
I have a friend that can do the work but I need to know if what I want to do is possible without any other modifications. I have been told that switching the trigger cannot be done without switching the hammer.
Anyone with experience please help.
