Interesting Old West Photos

I came across this wide assortment of "mesmerizing" photos. Both good and bad guys with a wide variety of guns. The Texas Rangers appear to all be holding the same model Winchesters...73s?

Black & white photography certainly wasn't flattering to the subjects but I'm glad it was available to preserve our history.

Black & white photography could be beautiful. A lot of old photos were made on old processes that were not as good as today's, plus they may be copies of copies of copies....the original negatives being long lost. That hurts contrast values, and makes for a lot of grain.
